Ruben is the Founder of the Alario Group, an advertising agency specialized in the Hispanic market. He has also been an advisor regarding the Hispanic vote for Mayor Rahm Emanuel and President Barack Obama during their election campaigns.

He is also the president of Bikety, the main bike servicing company in Chicago, which manages the bike rooms of most high rises in the city and provides on site repair services for their residents.

On his free time Ruben is an avid cyclist and swimmer, who used to compete at the Elite level in triathlons all over the world.
