This summer, Dare2tri is hosting five paratriathlon training camps for individuals who have a physical disability or visual impairment. Whether you’re new to paratriathlon or you’re a seasoned athlete, Dare2tri has a camp experience for you.
Here’s just about everything you need to know about our 2025 camp lineup.
May 29-June 1
Injured Military Camp
A paratriathlon camp exclusively for veterans and active military personnel
Who can attend Injured Military Camp?
Any veteran or active service member with a physical disability, visual impairment, traumatic brain injury, or PTS.
Where is camp located?
The camp is hosted in Northwest Indiana, a short drive from Chicago. Camp activities are split between Munster and Hammond, Indiana. Lodging is located in Hammond.
Is there a race included with registration?
Yes! None other than Leon’s Triathlon, a race that pays special tribute to active and retired military. This year, Leon’s is a part of USA Triathlon Paratriathlon Nationals Qualifier Series. These races offer a chance to qualify for the 2025 and 2026 USAT Paratriathlon National Championships with slightly more generous time standards than at other USAT-sanctioned races.

Registration opened on March 3, 2025.
Are volunteers needed?
Yes, volunteers are needed to assist with guiding athletes, unloading equipment, camp setup, water entry/exit, bike course safety, water safety, dog-watching, merchandise sales, and more.
June 20-22
Train2Race Camp
Designed for the experienced paratriathlete
Who can attend Train2Race? Any paratriathlete who has completed a Sprint-distance triathlon in under two hours within the last two years, without an on-course guide (except for visually impaired athletes who use sighted guides). Exceptions may be made for athletes with comparable experience and capability.
Where is camp located?
Camp activities and lodging are located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (about 45 minutes from Chicago).
Is there a race opportunity included with registration?
Yes! All participants will receive entry to the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon, which is part of USA Triathlon Paratriathlon Nationals Qualifier Series. These races offer a chance to qualify for the 2025 and 2026 USAT Paratriathlon National Championships with slightly more generous time standards than at other USAT-sanctioned races.

Kids Tri Camp
A swim-bike-run camp for youth
Who can attend Kids Tri Camp?
Youth between the ages of 6 and 21 who have a physical disability or visual impairment.
Where is camp located?
Chicago’s 63rd Street Beach. A beautiful lakefront location with a classic history.
Is this an overnight camp?
No, Kids Tri Camp is a day camp.
Is there a race opportunity?
Yes! All participants will race the Dare2tri Tri It Triathlon on Chicago’s lakefront.
