Grants That Move Athletes Forward
Ron Weinert Ability Fund

The Ron Weinert Ability Fund provides critical financial support to Dare2tri participants, empowering athletes to pursue their dreams in adaptive sports.
From beginners taking their first steps in sport to elite competitors on the international stage, the Ability Fund ensures that financial limitations never stand in the way of participation, training, or competition.
In 2024, Dare2tri renamed the fund to honor Ron Weinert, a longtime Board Chairman and steadfast advocate for adaptive sports. Over his decade of leadership, Ron’s passion and dedication have left an enduring legacy, empowering countless athletes to achieve their dreams.

“My grant was for a running prosthetic that let me complete my first triathlon on foot. Six years later, I still use that same leg. It’s helped me grow up and lead a full life. It’s traveled the world with me, and I’ll always be grateful.”
—Jack O’Neil, Longtime Dare2tri Athlete & 2024 Paralympian
