Netflix Doc “Rising Phoenix” Tells Story of Paralympic Games

Netflix will release Rising Phoenix, a documentary about the Paralympic Games, on Wednesday, August 26. Featuring elite athletes and insiders, the film will dive into the history of the Paralympics and examine how this global movement has impacted the world’s understanding of disability and diversity. Tatyana McFadden is among the athletes featured in Rising Phoenix. One of the most decorated athletes of all time, McFadden has 17 Paralympic medals, 24 World Major Marathon wins including four consecutive Grand Slams, and has broken five world records in track and field. She is also one of the film’s producers.

Film Discussion

In anticipation of the Rising Phoenix premiere, McFadden will be joining Dare2tri on Instagram Live to discuss the film. The discussion, led by Elite Dare2tri athlete Mary Kate Callahan, will be broadcasted on the Dare2tri Instagram page.
