Dare2tri today named 23 members to its 2024 Elite and Development Teams, powered by Columbia Threadneedle Investments and Deloitte. The roster includes 14 Elite and nine Development athletes who will represent Dare2tri in competition during the 2024 paratriathlon season.
As members of the team, these athletes will receive training support, funding, and coaching as they pursue their competitive paratriathlon goals.
Elite Team athletes represent Dare2tri on the national and international circuit, competing in USA Triathlon-sanctioned events as well as World Triathlon races around the globe. For many Elite athletes, the ultimate goal is to represent the United States in competition at the Paralympic games.
The 14 athletes selected to the 2024 Elite Team are Adam Popp (Golden, CO), Emi Perry (Colorado Springs, CO), Emily Shryock (Austin, TX), Howie Sanborn (Denver, CO), Irwin Ramirez (Alexandria, VA), Jacie King (Tucson, AZ), Jorge Torres-Hinojoza (Oswego, IL), Kelly Worrell (Cherry Hill, NJ), Kendra Herber (Monroe, OH), Kyle Stepp (Albuquerque, NM), Melissa Stockwell (Colorado Springs, CO), Leah Kaplan (Spokane, WA), Robert Rodriguez (Lake Grove, NY), and Skyler Fisher (Dallas, TX).
Development Team athletes represent Dare2tri in regional and national USA Triathlon-sanctioned races with the goal of qualifying and competing at the USA Paratriathlon National Championships.
The seven athletes selected to the 2024 Development Team are Denis McGrath (Chicago, IL), Emily Sweeney (Montrose, NY), Hannah Longmire (Coralville, IA), Heather Sealover (Bossier City, LA), Hillary Wool (Philadelphia, PA), Isabelle Hogness (Horace, ND), Lenny Aron (Chicago, IL), Olivia Molnar (Lewisville, TX), and William Laramie (Hammond, IN).
Dare2tri will kick off the 2024 season this week with its Elite and Development Camp at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, a U.S. Olympic and Paralympic training site in California. The camp will provide top-notch coaching and training opportunities focused on advanced skills and high performance.
