A Message From Our Executive Director
As I look back on this past year, I’m filled with so much pride and gratitude for everything we’ve accomplished together. It’s been an incredible year, full of moments that remind us why this community is so special.
From beginner athletes taking their first strides in adaptive sports to competitive athletes reaching the pinnacle of performance, 2024 was a year of breaking barriers and redefining what’s possible.
One of our proudest moments? Ten Dare2tri athletes competed at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris—a testament to what happens when hard work, opportunity, and a supportive community come together.
As this chapter ends, I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish next. Thank you for being part of this journey and for believing in the power of adaptive sports to transform lives.

Our Programs & Participants
From paratriathlon camps to mobile cycling clinics and free weekly practices, Dare2tri provided opportunities for people to swim, bike, and run—no matter their starting point or financial circumstances. These programs weren’t just about training; they were about transformation. Athletes gained confidence, built connections, and redefined what they thought was possible. Whether it was a first-time participant discovering a love for movement or an experienced athlete striving for a podium finish, we were there every step of the way.

The Ron Weinert Ability Fund
In 2024, we proudly renamed the Ability Fund to honor Ron Weinert, a longtime Board Chairman and champion of adaptive sports. Over more than a decade of leadership, Ron’s passion and dedication have opened doors for countless athletes, empowering them to chase their dreams. This year, the Ron Weinert Ability Fund provided life-changing grants for racing wheelchairs, handcycles, prosthetics, and other adaptive equipment—ensuring athletes have the tools they need to succeed on and off the racecourse.

“Thanks to Dare2tri, I’ve been able to train safely away from traffic, unpredictable weather, and even rogue animals. With a new endurance resistance attachment for my wheelchair roller trainer, I can now add increased resistance to my sessions, taking my racing chair training to the next level.” — Julius
The 2024 Paralympic Games
This year, the Paris Paralympic Games captivated the world, drawing a record 15.4 million viewers—a 31% increase from 2020. The spotlight on para sports has never been brighter, and we’re proud to be part of this incredible movement.
Dare2tri was represented by 10 phenomenal athletes competing for Team USA, with three bringing home medals in paratriathlon. Their determination, grit, and sportsmanship inspired millions while breaking barriers for the next generation of adaptive athletes.
