Learn2Tri Camp

A beginner-level training camp that concludes with the Tri It Triathlon.

About this camp

Learn2Tri is Dare2tri’s signature training camp designed for athletes of all experience levels who are new to paratriathlon. Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced athlete looking to try multisport for the first time, this camp will give you the skills and confidence to take on your first triathlon.

Participants will receive expert coaching in swimming, cycling, running/pushing, and triathlon transitions, along with hands-on instruction in race preparation, nutrition, and equipment maintenance. Camp culminates in the Tri It Triathlon, where athletes can put their new skills to the test in a supportive, race-day environment.

Location

Camp activities and lodging are located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (about 45 minutes from Chicago).

Ground transportation

Ground transportation between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and the camp hotel is available upon request. To be eligible, participants must arrive at ORD by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday (the day before camp begins) and depart no earlier than 3 p.m. on Sunday, the final day of camp. Participants arriving after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the hotel.

Cost

Camp only (no lodging) – $275
Camp + 2 nights lodging (Friday, Saturday) – $425
Camp + 3 nights lodging (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) – $500

Financial assistance

Individuals with demonstrated financial need may apply for a scholarship and/or travel stipend. Applications must be submitted BEFORE officially registering for camp.

Athletes are eligible for financial assistance for one camp per calendar year. Requests for additional funding will be placed on a waitlist and reviewed sixty (60) days prior to the scheduled camp date. Applicants will be notified of their status no later than eight (8) weeks before the camp, pending availability after first-time applicants are prioritized.

Refund policy

In order to ensure that we are to offer this experience to as many athletes as possible, Dare2tri has implemented the following refund policy for all paratriathlon camps.

  • $25 of the registration cost serves as an application fee and is non-refundable.
  • Cancel 60 days or more out: 100% refund (minus $25 application fee)
  • Cancel 30-59 days out: 50% refund (minus $25 application fee)
  • Cancel 29 days or less out: no refund given

Scholarships are available; however, the $25 application fee is the minimum cost to attend. If a scholarship or travel stipend recipient cancels within 30 days of the event, they will not be able to apply for another scholarship or other financial assistance for one (1) calendar year except in extenuating circumstances.
