About this program
The Dare2tri Winter Run Club is a virtual running program for both new and experienced runners. Anyone who has a physical disability or visual impairment, from any U.S. location, can enroll. This program is best suited for athletes who want to complete a race this spring, whether it’s a 5K, 10K or another distance. In fact, upon completing this program, Dare2tri will cover a portion of your race fee!
A 12-week training plan – Our coaches have mapped out a weekly training plan with flexible workouts that can be completed on your own terms, based on your schedule.
Three Zoom calls – Coach Shawna and Coach Dan will host three Zoom video calls with the group: One to kick off the training, one to check-in midway through the program, and one to offer tips for race day.
Dare2tri swag. We’ll send you a tech T-shirt and other Dare2tri swag.
Race fee assistance. Dare2tri will cover 50 percent of your race entry fee or up to $15 as a result of completing this program on Sunday, March 21, 2021.
Scholarships are available for up to $20 for those with a demonstrated financial need. Please fill out the scholarship application before registering for the program. If you are approved for a scholarship, you will be given a code to use for registration.
About the Coaches
Coach Dan Tun is Dare2tri’s Co-Founder and Program Director. He is a certified run coach who has worked in adaptive sports for more than 10 years. Dan has completed multiple triathlons (from Sprint to Ironman distance) and road and trail running races (Boston marathon qualifier).
Coach Shawna Carter is Dare2tri’s Logistics & Program Manager. She is a certified run coach who specializes in running endurance and strength training. Shawna has helped athletes of all abilities achieve their goals and cross the finish line.
